The Game

Intergalactic Kammerjäger is a comedic roleplaying game about low wage space exterminators and strange alien pests. You play as the cast of a sitcom, caught between misunderstood space monsters, ungrateful customers and the struggles of modern business life. Together you will create a shared vision of your own show. 

The Setting

In the far future of Intergalactic Kammerjäger, humanity has expanded beyond the stars. In their eternal drive for new markets, mega corporations are colonizing countless foreign galaxies. Throughout the expansion, humanity has been plagued by dangerous wildlife lurking in the depths of space: Insatiable insects, flesh eating fungi, and mind controlling worms. Luckily, all paying customers can rely on the undisputed market leader in pest control: INTERGALACTIC KAMMERJÄGER UNLTD.

This is where you come in. For some reason you have answered the call of an Intergalactic Kammerjäger recruitment ad. After a short introductory course, you are shipped to a foreign location, where you are faced with alien monsters and a demanding corporate management. Protecting ungrateful customers from vile space horrors? That’s your job now!

In return, you receive rare benefits: Regular pay, free housing in the company barracks and the occasional day off. As the cherry on top, you also get a meaningless management title to boast about to your friends and family!  Isn’t that great?

Luckily, you are not alone. There are others stuck here with you. Together you will face tough jobs, corporate bullshit and meager pay. Hardships that will bind you together as colleagues and friends. And who knows? If you help each other out, you might even find a way out of the corporate grind and towards a better life — the good life — somewhere among the stars.

System

Mechanically, the game is based on a modified version of the Forged in the Dark system, with a strong focus on quick action resolution, teamwork synergies, and silly consequences. This creates a fast and lighthearted roleplaying experience, perfect to pick up and enjoy after a hard day at your actual job.

Inspiration

Intergalactic Kammerjäger is a game grounded in absurdist humor, inspired by comedic science-fiction, animated sitcoms and the modern business life. It draws from the works of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett, other books like Astro-Nuts and Space Opera, movies like Ghostbusters, Evolution, Men in Black and Space Balls, tv series like Futurama or Final Space, and games like Day of the Tentacle, Toon, The Feeble Files, Deep Rock Galactic and Space Quest.
